I truly loved this book and I asking for it for Christmas. I have to have my own copy! The book is about Elizabeth's divorce from her husband and search for herself. So many of us live our lives yet feel way down deep in our souls that we are not being who we really are. Only a few brave souls admit this openly and then go out to find who we really are. I truly believe that in order to do this you must have supportive and understanding people around you.

I've heard many people say that this book is over the top, self indulgent, and self centered. Well, yeah. It's supposed to be and that is what makes it brilliant. If you are at that point in your life where you KNOW you NEED to change, then this book is will grab you by the nose and hold on for dear life. If you are comfortable with who you are and don't understand people's yearning for something else, then don't bother picking it up. It's a great book for those of us searching for more.

100 Cupboards

I saw this book on a cart in the library and it looked interesting so I picked it up. The back explained the story of Henry whose parents were kidnapped and he was living with his aunt and uncle and cousins. His bedroom is up in the attic and one night he noticed the plaster coming off the wall. After picking off all the plaster he finds 100 cupboards or doors. Each door opens to another world.

I tried. I really tried. Once I got to the first door though I felt the author had completely lost me. The story skipped without a smooth transition and I just didn't flow with it. I got really confused and had to stop reading.

If anyone gets through this book, then please let me know how it turns out!!
